Evercam specializes in video surveillance systems for construction sites, standing out in the market by offering an all-in-one solution that includes hardware, recording systems, and complete video software. They oversee thousands of sites and work with major companies like Bouygues Constructions, Shell, and Mercury. Recently, Evercam explored adding advanced AI features through sophisticated computer vision models to enhance their services. However, deploying these models in the cloud isn't practical, as it would involve sending massive amounts of video data, resulting in high latency and bandwidth utilization. To address this, Evercam chose to deploy their models locally at the construction sites, directly on the devices there - a method known as Edge computing.
